Valley Vista Home Manual
Essential guides for HVAC, entertainment, lighting, and safety in your property for a comfortable stay.
Infants and Toddlers
A crib, bassinet, high chair, and stair gate are located in the master bedroom and upstairs hallway closets. Cabinet Locks are available under the kitchen sink. Downstairs bedrooms have blackout blinds. Please inspect items prior to use and wash them immediately if there's a chance of staining.
Heat & Air Conditioning
You can adjust the temperature by sliding the set-point on right of the thermostats. There are 3 zones (living room & kitchen, upstairs bedrooms, and downstairs) with 3 separate thermostats. Additionally, there are temperature sensors on the wall of every bedroom (small white squares) and fans that come on automatically with the system. Please leave the mode on “auto”.
Lights
Light switches have dimmers. Hold the switch up or down to adjust. The bedside lamps turn on by touch so don’t spend too much time looking for an on/off switch!
Fireplace
For safety reasons, the fireplace is strictly off limits. You are welcome to use the two fire pits located outside. Just please make sure to turn them off when you are done.
Washer & Garage
The washer, dryer, and EV charger are in the garage and are available for guest use. The exercise equipment is also available at your own risk.
TVs
The TVs have YouTube TV. For other apps, we recommend casting via Airplay or Chromecast as you will not be logged out at the end of your stay.
Propane
The BBQ and the patio fire table both use a timer. The terrace fire table uses a propane tank. There is a spare propane tank in the garage. If the propane runs out, feel free to swap it out, but let us know so we can replace the spare.
Wind
During the summer months, the Paso Robles wind picks up from 2~6pm daily. This helps the grapes produce a more concentrated flavor. Plan on hanging out in wind protected areas like the south side of the house or a protected winery like Halter Ranch.
Creepy Crawlers
Wine country has many visitors, from deers, to birds, to spiders. In the fall, Paso Robles is even known for tarantula season; they are terrifying but friendly. Enjoy the ranch and don’t be surprised if you spot elements of the wildlife along the way.
Smoking
There is no smoking inside the home. The home is equipped with smoke detectors, exterior & garage video cameras, and a Ring security system. Smoking or tampering with security equipment will result in a fine.
